The beginning 1995-1996

Back in 1995, when I loved the NBA so much and basketball was my favorite sport, I attended my first major sporting event ever. It happened to be Michael Jordan's first season game after returning from his first retirement. I saw them play the Charlotte Hornets, now of New Orleans, and the Bulls won 105-91.

After the new year rang in, I then attended a few more NBA games during the 1995-1996 season. In January of '96, I saw the Dallas Mavericks and Jason Kidd defeat the Phoenix Suns 140-130 at America West Arena. In February, I attended another game in Phoenix at America West Arena. It was the Bulls and Michael Jordan vs the Suns and Charles Barkley. The Suns handed the Bulls one of their few losses that year 106-96.

Lastly in June of '96, what still might be one of my greatest sports experiences ever, I attended game 6 of the NBA finals to watch my Bulls win their 4th championship ever. They defeated the Seattle Supersonics, now the Oklahoma City Thunder, 87-75. It was an amazing night to be at the United Center in Chicago.
